LADY DATES
Quite possibly even more exciting than a typical date night is a LADY date night. There's something extra special and free flowing about a night out with girls who just "get it." It's always more satisfying to dress up for your girlfriends anyway, right?. My most recent lady date was an epic night of oyster tasting and touring around Rochester ; starting at Lento, then off to 2Vine and ending up at the Revelry's raw bar. If anyone out there is an oyster fan, I highly suggest checking out these local spots. And if you're of the general foodie mentality like myself, then you've gotta follow one of Rochester's most unique food bloggers who just so happens to be a friend of mine, Sir Rocha Says.
Now, it's always a struggle to dress for a night out no matter who your date is. Do I dress up? Are my friends going to dress up? What's too dressy or too casual? While these daunting questions can keep us up at night, the reality is we're probably overthinking it. So I ended up with distressed jeans, heeled booties and a printed jacket that pops. For me, this is always a winning combo. It's casual enough for the work day but sleek and chic-ly appropriate for my girl's night. The ripped denim keeps things dressed down while the heels and leopard print makes it feel flashy and flirty.
