ITALY : TUSCAN STYLE

First of all, the post title is completely deceiving. I honestly can't describe the specific fashion trends from the region of Tuscany, nor can I tell you what to wear based on actual fashion data. However, I CAN fill you guys in on how I chose to dress and why. I'll do my best to keep these blogs short and sweet - there are quite a few.

During our Italian jetset this past November, one of the epic stops was the Tuscan countryside. We stayed at this incredible organic farm and vineyard called  Fattoria Lavacchio which I booked through Airbnb. On this gorgeous property were 1. a bed and breakfast, 2. their gift shop and tasting room, 3. the property restaurant as well as miles of vineyards and olive trees. As you can see from the photos, weather this time of year was cool and a bit gray (typical Rochester-like climate). I did my best to pack efficiently, but sweaters were a MUST. Trying not to bulk up the suitcase, I brought a few - and none as life-saving as this knitted poncho. I was able to basically walk around in what felt like a blanket for the majority of our stay. The property was private and quite, so there was no one to impress. Walking from building to building also meant that boots were my best option. I let my hair do what it wanted and tried to just enjoy our stay and spend more time appreciating the experience. I'm not usually a poncho-lover but there's nothing more clutch for that in-between climate. O! I also wore it on the plane! Clothing and blanket in one! "The Poncho" - a frequent flyer's best friend. (See... that's a way better post title).
